This year’s A CAPITOL FOURTH celebration, airing July 4 at 7:00 p.m. Central on NPT and PBS stations nationwide, has a special treat for the entire family: Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch and more of the SESAME STREET gang will be on hand to celebrate America’s 233rd birthday.
In an exclusive interview, Christian from Capital Concerts caught up with Elmo and Big Bird to talk about their upcoming performance in A CAPITOL FOURTH and their thoughts on being in the nation’s capital for Independence Day. Big Bird waxes poetic about democracy and governing; Elmo accuses him of being “deep.” It’s fantastic.
